Out on a Ledge
Out on a Ledge 2005
This is a body of photographs about contentment, transition and sorrow. The subject matter: ostensibly simple forms and objects, a stone surface and black space. Closer observation reveals a stunning and complex world of mystery, intricate detail, quiet dignity and beauty. I have placed these objects out on a ledge because this is where we all live – in a fragile state of existential aloneness. Such is the bittersweet nature of life.
