    Objects of My Affections  1999-2000

These still-life photographs are meant to be felt viscerally and understood metaphorically. They are outer manifestations of interior landscapes. They are personal revelations that are simultaneously familiar and mysterious, elegant and emotionally charged.  I respond to them as pictorial narratives about love and loss, confidence and fear, sorrow and joy, family, respect, integrity, isolation, longing, belonging. The yearning for beauty, meaning and a sense of place. The human condition.
